Our History
Nuestra Historia
Bethel has a rich history of ministry within the Hispanic community of St. Pauls and the surrounding region. For many years, the church has served as a place where individuals and families can worship together, grow in their relationship with Christ, and experience a strong community of faith.
Historical records from the North Carolina Conference of the Pentecostal Holiness Church document Bethel Hispanic under the leadership of Pastor Alfredo Vargas as early as 2008. At that time, the church reported a membership of 229 people and an average Sunday morning worship attendance of approximately 200.
Through the years, Bethel has continued its mission of sharing the Gospel, developing believers, and serving families throughout the community. Today, the church continues building upon that legacy while looking toward the future and the generations still to come.
Bethel tiene una rica historia de ministerio dentro de la comunidad hispana de St. Pauls y la región circundante. Durante muchos años, la iglesia ha servido como un lugar donde las personas y las familias pueden adorar juntas, crecer en su relación con Cristo y experimentar una sólida comunidad de fe.
Los registros históricos de la Conferencia de la Iglesia de Santidad Pentecostal de Carolina del Norte documentan a Bethel Hispano bajo el liderazgo del pastor Alfredo Vargas ya en 2008.
